Made around your idea

Can’t see exactly what you need? Let’s discuss a custom order.

Bespoke design service

Got an idea? Let’s make it properly.

For larger, bespoke or design-led projects, your consultation gives us dedicated time to understand the brief, check what is possible and plan the job properly before production begins.

What your consultation includes

A proper project review

I’ll check your requirements, measurements, timescale and supplied files before anything is agreed.

Practical recommendations

You’ll get honest advice on the right materials, finish and production method for the job.

Initial design direction

We’ll agree the direction of the project so the scope is clear before design work begins.

A clear written quote

You’ll know what is included, what it costs and the expected timescale before committing.

What happens next

  1. Tell me what you need

Send your idea, measurements, deadline and the best-quality original files you have.

  2. I review the project

I’ll check the brief, flag any issues and work out the best way to produce it.

  3. You receive your quote

Nothing moves into production until the scope, price and timescale have been agreed.

Please read before booking

Clear boundaries. Better projects.

The consultation process protects the time needed to assess each request properly and helps ensure enquiries are genuine.

Booking is not automatic acceptance

I may decline work that I do not believe is achievable, suitable, within my capabilities or timescale, or a good fit for Wild Islay Studio. The consultation fee covers the professional time already spent reviewing your request.

Respect is required

Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, insulting or nasty messages, comments and harassment will not be accepted. If this happens, communication will end and I reserve the right to refuse or cancel the project.

False claims are not acceptable

Honest questions and constructive feedback are always welcome. Deliberately false, misleading or damaging statements about me, my business or my work are not. These may result in the working relationship ending immediately.

Before you book

Is the £30 an extra charge?

No. If you approve the quote and proceed, the full consultation fee is deducted from the final project balance.

Which projects need a consultation?

It is for larger bespoke, business print, signage and design-led projects. Straightforward personalised gifts such as standard keyrings normally do not need one.

What files should I send?

Please send original, high-resolution artwork or photographs wherever possible—not screenshots or images downloaded from social media. I’ll tell you if anything needs replacing.

Does booking guarantee my deadline?

No. Availability and timescale are confirmed after the project has been reviewed. Very short-notice work may not be possible.

Custom work, made simple

Your idea, thoughtfully brought to life.

Most pieces from Wild Islay Studio are made to order. I’ll guide you through the process clearly, from the first conversation to the finished result.

Good to know

Questions, answered clearly.

Everything you may need to know before ordering, visiting the studio or sending artwork.

Ask a different question

For order enquiries, include the item, quantity and date required wherever possible.

01 How do I place a personalised order?

Use the enquiry form or contact me with the item, wording, quantity and date required. I’ll confirm the details, price and expected timescale before your order begins.

02 How long will my order take?

Timescales depend on the item, quantity and current workload. Made-to-order gifts and larger print projects may have different lead times, so please enquire as early as possible—especially when you need something for a fixed date.

03 When is the Bowmore studio open?

Wild Islay Studio is a working studio rather than a conventional shop. Public opening times are advertised online, with visits at other times available by prior appointment.

04 Do I need to pay before you start?

Personalised products and general orders are paid for before production begins. Larger bespoke design projects may also require a consultation and design fee.

05 What artwork files should I provide?

Please provide the original, highest-quality artwork available—ideally a vector PDF, SVG or high-resolution PNG. Screenshots and images saved from social media may not be suitable for professional printing.

06 What is the £30 consultation fee for?

The fee applies to larger bespoke projects that require artwork assessment, sourcing, technical advice or original design time. If the project proceeds, the fee is deducted from the final invoice. It does not apply to straightforward personalised gifts.

07 Can I collect my order from the studio?

Yes. I’ll contact you when your order is complete and arrange a suitable collection time from the studio in Bowmore.
